This M-11/9 Sear is hardened to provide extra strength and durability. Original sears may have been improperly hardened during the rush to get as many M-11/9 machineguns manufactured and registered prior to May of 1986. If your M-11/9 ocasionally continues to fire after letting go of the trigger or "runs away", your sear may be worn. Also compatible with the M-11A1/380. Check the tip of the sear that engages the sear notch in the bolt to make sure it is not rounded off. If it is, replace the sear. These sears are made from 4140 steel and hardened to 42-46 on the Rockwell C Scale.
